Welcome to Lamar Middle School

Welcome to Lamar Middle School, home of the Tigers! As part of the Lamar R-I School District in southwest Missouri, we are proud to serve the students and families of Lamar and our surrounding communities.

Located in historic Lamar, Missouri—the birthplace of President Harry S. Truman—our school is part of a community with a proud tradition of education, hard work, service, and Tiger pride. Generations of students have passed through Lamar schools, building traditions that continue today.

At Lamar Middle School, we believe the middle school years are an important time for students to grow academically, socially, and personally. Through strong academics, fine arts, athletics, activities, and leadership opportunities, we strive to provide every student with a safe, supportive, and challenging learning environment.

Our students are encouraged each day to live our core expectations by being Respectful, Responsible, and Ready. With the partnership of our students, staff, families, and community, we are committed to preparing every Tiger for success in high school and beyond.
